Jaikishan Dahyabhai Panchal was born on 4th November 1929 in Vansda. Vansda was also known as Vansda State. Currently Vansda is located in Navsari District of Gujarat State. Vansda’s latitude and longitude coordinates are 20.7579° N, 73.3640° E. Jaikishan Panchal was a music composer and actor. He and his music director partner Shankar were popularly known as “S-J” Shankar Jaikishan). Shankar was born on 15th October 1922 at Hyderabad. Both Shankar-Jaikishan had given many super- dupers hit music and songs in the Indian Bollywood cinema. They have also composed music in many successful movies; due to this, they were given the prestigious Padmashri Award in 1069. S-J worked together during 1949-1979. Jaikishan died on 12th September 1971 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. After his death, Shankar continued as a music director till 1987. Shankar passed away in 1987. Since the beginning of their career as “S-J”, the great music director’s duo has scored 550 film songs.
